The Backup area of your cPanel Control Panel allows you to backup your current hosting account, settings, files and databases.
You should always keep your own backups of your
hosting account, on your local computer, to provide for easy recovery
in the event of a problem.
To make a backup use theese options
A full backup can be compressed and saved to a root
directory of your account, or uploaded to any ftp server and an email
will be sent to an address you provide when the backup is made.
If you choose to download "Home directory" you'll get all your files compressed in a tar.gz format and ready to download.
You can download an existing MySQL database by choosing "Download a MySQL Database Backup". Below
the heading "Download a MySQL Database Backup" is listed all your MySQL
databases you can choose from. Just click on any and the download will
start.
You can also download only one subdomain backup by using the Aliases and Filters.
To restore your backup you made earlier, use the following:
Or You can use a prewritten PHP script, that generates a full backup you don't even need to log in to your cPanel.
You
just need to fill some fields with logins and passwords and run
something like: http://www.yoursite.com/fullbackup.php and your full
backup will arive to the destination you'll specify.
